Late-season Update.

We did a ton of coon hunting early in the season and saw quite a few coons. One night we were out in these really thick brushy woods waiting for this coon to fall. We already hit him good and there was a puddle of blood under the tree when we heaerd this horrible crash. Turns out some car got plowed on the railroad tracks about a mile away. Scared the sh__ out of us. Anyhow I went back the next day a got a nice skin out of that one.
Mini-Coons ?
The kids both got new snowboards this year and we have been spending a lot of time hiking around finding cool private spots to board. They really have some balls about boarding trails through the woods. It's a lot of fun and a lot of excersize. Mostly people stay in the house in the winter so we don't have to deal with too many people in the woods. Of course we take the dogs with us because they really love just to get out and romp.
We play this game with the dogs to train them. It's like hide and seek. We take a fur and drag it around the yard and then tie it in a tree somewhere. Then we let the dogs out and see who can find it first. The winner get's a treat. Actually they both get a treat if they were trying because Allison always wins and it's not fair to Bella because she's not houndy. They love playing and it's awesome training. Alley looks like a slot-car on the trail. If the scent turns hard sometimes she falls right over trying to follow it.
t5 Oh NO ! I had this old single shot .22 that my dad gave me when I was 12 . The front sight fell of it a few years ago and I never shot it. Willy got it and found a sight for it. We put the sight in and sighted it in. That's what he got the pidgeon with. What an incredible shot with that old gun. So we got home and welded the sight on where it was good. Now it's back in action and Willy has his own firearm. I guess it's time.
